About Us

Kevin and Angela BlankHello Friends! Welcome to our Blog. Our names are Kevin and Angela Blank. We have been married for almost 9 years and we thank God for bringing us together.  On Friday, September 6, 2013 we will be leaving the comforts of home to travel to Uganda.  We will be partnering with a ministry called New Hope Uganda and we will be working at Musana Camps.

We have experienced heartaches and good times together in the last 9 years and through it all God has proved Himself to be so ever faithful and we can’t imagine living our lives without Him leading us through this life on earth. As most of you know we (at this time) do not have any children of our own. We LOVE children and believe each one is a blessing from God. We trust God that in His timing He will give us the desires of our hearts and bless us with little ones to love and train up to love and serve Him.

Here are some interesting things about us. Kevin is 9 years older then Angela, Kevin is the youngest of 4 children and went to a christian school, Angela is the 2nd oldest of 7 children and was home schooled. Kevin was a school teacher after he graduated and worked at a boys camp for emotionally disturbed boys, Angela worked at a nursing home for the elderly and then started at a daycare because of wanting to work with children. They have been on numerous mission trips to Haiti, Kenya and Uganda. Kevin does construction and likes to get dirty, he built/remolded/added on to our home 4 years ago which we have been enjoying very much. Angela has done in-home daycare for 7 years a total of 46 + children have been loved on by her. We also did foster care to 12 children which we loved and cared for each one.

The Lord has been showing us that we will be going to a mission somewhere a few years ago. He has made it clear to us recently that He is calling us to East Africa, Uganda to work with Orphans. We have sold our house and are now in the process of selling our “treasures” on earth. (why do we have so much stuff)?? We have closing date on our house August 9th and will be flying over the ocean to our “new home” September 6th. We are both nervous and excited to see God’s hand in our lives and where He is leading us. We want our lives to be used by Him – we want to be His hands and feet. We have a burden for children that have no place to call home, who have no father and no mother to hold them tight, wipe away tears and tell them how important they are and how much they are loved. We have a burden for lost souls. No one is promised tomorrow- will you be going to heaven or hell if you should die today. …
